Lilah Benetti is an award-winning emerging artist and director based in Naarm/Melb (AUS). Benetti works across selected experimental and narrative genres of screen art to explore stories of otherness, intersectionality and nuances that shape cross-cultural Australian identities.

Benetti's current art practice looks at the call-and-response relationship between people and their environments and the internal and external factors that influence these states of being. Benetti's work is bold, striking and brimming with tenderness and has received international acclaim from art and film critics around the world.

During the residency, Benetti wants to draw from and engage with the local and international art ecology, while developing their work within the context of gallery exhibition spaces.
